Ledyard’s Lucky Lucas

Ledyard’s Lucky Lucas hardly needs an introduction to a Morgan horse fan.  This stunning black stallion has been the epitome of Morgan type since he first won Grand Champion Stallion at the New York Regional as a yearling.  His in hand show career highlights include 2013 Reserve World Champion Stallion and champion of the 2015 New England $10,000 Breeder’s Challenge.  But Lucas isn’t just a pretty face.  As a driving horse, he won the Grand National Two-Year-Old Please Driving Stallions and Gelding class.  Under saddle, he has won some very impressive English Pleasure classes at New England Morgan and Gold Cup. He has gone on to prove himself in the state of Michigan remaining at the top of his classes. He now holds over 40 blues under his belt and continues to collect. In 2019, Lucas found his niche with carrying his young riders in the hunter and western pleasure divisions and into 2021.
