Ledyard Farms  is a world class horse breeding facility located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Our goal is to produce the finest bred Morgan foals each year with the capacity to show successfully in the Park and English Pleasure divisions. Accompanying the horses, sheep, and chickens of Ledyard are geese, peacocks, goats and Border Collies.

The farm has been in the Haines family since the early 1900's, with major restorations beginning in 2001 and continuing through to the present.  The main house, dating back to the 1820's, has been carefully restored to reflect its history and is furnished with family heirlooms.  Numerous out buildings provide comfortable accommodations for the livestock and fowl. Equine facilities include two barns with a total of 21 box stalls, two wash stalls, tack room, office, display cases, and two sand arenas - indoor and outside.  Eleven paddocks, lined with split rail fences and equipped with run-in sheds and automatic waterers, make living safe and appealing for the broodmares and livestock of Ledyard.

We extend an open invitation to you to visit Ledyard Farms, located on the east side of Cayuga Lake, a half hour north of Ithaca, to see all that we have to offer. In the area you can also enjoy visits to numerous wineries, breweries and state parks, along with easy access to the Finger Lakes. You will also have an opportunity to observe some of the most productive and beautiful farmland in the nation.  Fields of corn, wheat, soybeans, and alfalfa line the roads alongside pastures of black and white Holsteins, with views of prize-winning Morgans.  We hope you enjoy your visit; don't hesitate to "Contact Us" with questions or to set up a visit for a specific group.
