Ledyard Farms is a world class horse breeding facility located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Our goal is to produce some of the finest bred Morgan foals each year with the capacity to show successfully in the Park and English Pleasure divisions. In addition, we manage a herd of top quality Scottish Highland Cattle, the most competitive of which are shown in hand. Accompanying the horses, cattle, sheep and chickens of Ledyard are ducks, geese, peacocks, pheasants, goats and Border Collies.
The farm has been in the Haines family since the early 1900, with major restorations beginning in 2001 and continuing through to the present. The 1820's main house has been carefully restored to reflect its history and is furnished with one of a kind family heirlooms. Numerous out buildings provide comfortable living for the livestock and fowl. The equine facility includes two barns with a total of 21 box stalls, two wash stalls, tack room, office, display cases, and two sand arenas - one indoor and one out. Eleven paddocks, lines with split rail fence and equipped with run in sheds and automatic waterers, make living safe and easy for the broodmares and young stock of Ledyard.
We extend an open invitation to you to visit our picturesque farm and enjoy all that we have to offer. We are located on the east side of Cayuga Lake, just half hour north of Ithaca. On your visit you can also enjoy numerous wineries and state parks, easy access to the Finger Lakes and some of the most beautiful and productive farm land in the nation. Fields of corn, wheat, soybeans, and alfalfa line the roads alongside pastures of black and white Holsteins. Thank you for visiting our site, and don't hesitate to "Contact Us" with questions or to set up a visit.
